Human Trafficking in Pakistan | Who Runs the Dunki Network? | Pakistan’s Migration Crisis | Abid Ali
Hundreds of young men take risks to migrate for a better life. Dunki – often referred to as the "donkey route" – is an illicit method of clandestine migration where individuals attempt to enter Western nations like the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia by weaving through a complex chain of multiple transit countries. Driven by the pursuit of better economic opportunities, migrants often rely on underground networks of human smugglers who orchestrate these hazardous journeys using circuitous legal and illegal stopovers, exposing travellers to extreme physical perils and severe legal consequences.
